To those who are on the lookout to acquire Case combines, I saw at a distance in late Now a 600 or 900 series at Dexter Farm Equipment at Monmouth, Il west of Galesburg, Il on Rt34. This one apparently was operational because it was in a line of other machines.
The second combine is a 660 setting at a run down farm stead on Rt 150. I have driven by there occasionally the past 15 years and it has set there in one spot all these years. Vaguely, I remember 15 years ago it had a for sale sign. Today, I see it is still setting in the same spot in overgrown weeds.
If you have a reason to be traveling I 74 thru Galesburg, from the intersection of I74 and Rt 150 SE of Galesburg, go 4.5 miles east on 150. Its on the north side of the road. Can't miss it. The paint looks good but have no idea how rusted down it might be or if it is for sale.
