There is a 400 for sale in my area They say its straight and runs good . tires are good they say and look to be Armstrongs . Spinout rims and one is junk for $2200 . My questions are what do they weigh , do they fit in 5500 class ? stock how well do they pull ? I have never seen one that is close to stock pull . Thanks mark

Mark,

It may be difficult to get down to 5500, w/o major weight reducing effort. 6000 is about right w/ no solution in the tires and no weights.

They will pull OK but need some drawbar work to get the drawbar angle right and be at the maximum height per your rules.

The 8 speed tranny will allow you to find a good gear that matches the track with your tires/hp combo.

Good Luck!

Need to find a back plate from a bare back
so you can drop the hydraulic housing and shorten the hitch. You can make 5500 with cast spoke wheels not spin outs. Put pressed steel wheels on the front. Run 14.9 or 16.9 38s if you can. will pull good.
