2394 3 pt extension springs

Has anyone come up with an alternative for the 3 pt. extension latch springs for the 94 series tractors? Case wants $80 each for them! Has anyone tried to make them from pallet banding material?

Beware: I have lots of ideas and by law of averages, occasionally one of them will be a good idea.....grin.

Banding strap is a low cost material and you have nothing to lose but time.

When I looked at the online parts book for 2394 and 7140, you might be able to try a flat spring from a magnum or roll up a section of inner tube rubber inside your banding strap idea.

Or do like my dad would do on the old 856, use some heavy wire to secure the arm extension lock.
