rh side on top the frame they were stamped with model/serial if I remember right, all the ones we sold had the tag on the tool box
cnt

Looks to be a late 60s 990. It has power assisted steering, which was gone by the time the 995 came along. Would have a 4/47 engine, not what you want for a 1210.

The block for a late 990(mid 70s on) is the same as that for a 1210, just 1/2" less stroke(by way of a different crank and pistons).

thanx Rich ,, You are Good , You went to the website pix , I think the 995 has a 195 motor , similar to 1290 ? always thought the id tag was on the left side of bell housing??/ ,,. none present

A 995 should have the 4/55 engine(same as a 1210), but will have the cheaper DPA injector pump, rather than the inline pump.

The 1290 was just a freshened up 990. The 1390 was a freshened up 995. The 1490 was a 1210 with wet brakes and a turbo 4/55 engine.

Tags on the bigger tractors are usually on the bellhousing. 990s for whatever reason were on the toolbox???

Almost all are stamped on top of the frame, right ride, either mid engine, or even with the fan.

We have a nice 1210 case up here in ND 4 Sale. It has a case 65 loader and bad clutch. If anyone is interested in it let me know. TXT 331-588-1504 if you want pictures and info. very very reasonable on price want to get rid of it.. Didn't mind the tractor just ain't worth the clutch in my eyes. Engine probably has 3000 hrs on overhaul. ----Adam

If it was here, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Would cost me that much to go get it.

Grenaded clutches are pretty common, Someone pulls the PTO clutch lever back and forgets about it...

Not a bad tractor just not common here. Cheapest running 60 hp non gas tractor ever drove. Is there anyone in the upper midewest interested in it. 1300 with loader I believe is very fair.
