front hub removal

So I'm trying to take the front hubs off of my 830 CK. Need to fix a couple broken bolts. I've got the dust cover the big nut and the washer off, but the hub is only moving about 2-3 inches? What am I doing wrong here?

The wheel bearing is not sliding over the spindle due to some buggering I would assume. Thus the seal/retainer is holding it back

Well that's kind of what I though, but just wanted to be sure before I get to aggressive with it. Any tricks before I start beating on it?

Well I got the hub off, now the inner bearing is on the spindle super tight. Looks like in order to change that rear seal that bearing needs to come off, any tricks to get that bearing off?

I've put a collar type puller behind before, and as long as it's pulling on the inner race you're ok. Any kind of a puller that will grab the bearing will usually just the pull the bearing apart. That's sometimes the price for having the spindle scored

Yea that's exactly what I did, now I'm assuming when I reassemble, when I tighten down the outer nut it will push that inner bearing on??? Or should I use a pipe or something to tap the inner bearing on? Thanks again.

You will need to shine up the spindle because the retainer must go on 1st, then the inter bearing then the hub and outer bearing and nut. The retainer will then be fastened to the hub by the 5 1/4 screws or bolts.
