I saw on the archive pages, that you knew the year of a Case 425 corn picker. I was just wondering how did you know that?

Early Case products all used block serial numbers in the tractor and implement production, regardless which plant they were manufactured. This changed in late 1953 when the first number identified the plant. 8xxxxxx for Racine and 6xxxxxx for Rock Island. Need a serial number breakdown list to determine year.

Where on a case 425 is the serial number plate located? Once you locate the number, where do you find a chart with numbers by the year of manufacture? I've seen numerous charts for tractors-but not for implements

When you are sitting on the tractor seat look to the right. the Serial plate it is right above the handle to adjust the picking rolls.
