Don,
Here may be the oldest dealer for your list. The dealer was Aurthur M Butt. Oneonta NY.
The 10-20 tractors were built from 1915-18. Production numbers for these tractors provided by Bro., are 1915-203, 1916-1601, 1917-2000, and 1918-2875.
These lit. pieces have been in in our family for 3 generations. I also have a 1914 calalog of all Case machines including road machinery, with pics., specs., and prices.

Loren,

Thanks so much for posting these pictures and providing the dealer name. I wonder just what kind of operation Mr. Butt had in 1916 or so, if any. I have heard that sometimes Case had "agents" instead of dealers in places and that they were just salesman with no actual facilities. Did your ancestors know of Mr. Butt? Don

Don,
My Grandad was a sub dealer/agent starting in 1922 He operated out of the back of the farmhouse and had an old converted chicken house for a shop. In 1932 he and Dad became partners and became Case dealers under the name of Owen Fassett & Son. In 1948 Dad bought property at the end of our road, intersecting US Rt. 20 and built the building in the pic. He changed the Name to Homer Fassett Farm Machinery. In the mid 70s Dad incorperated, and the name became Fassett's Mach. Inc. In the winter of 82 me and my wife bought Dad out. We closed it and our satilite parts store in Fultonville, down in the fall of 1986. In 1989 my good friend and silent partner who had done business as Randall Implements. Co. Inc., negociated a new contract with Case Co, and is still in operation in Fultonville,as a CNH, Kubota, Claus, Khun/Knight dealer, plus other short lines including Landoll and Ungerfurth.

Loren,

That is some great history w/ Case. The picture from 1948 is interesting. That building must have been a state-of-the-art dealership for the time. Was your family's operation ever featured in the Case Eagle magazine? Don

Loren,
Thanks for posting the pics. Old dealership photographs are my favorite. And building s like this one especially. I wish I could have a building just like your families and fill it with Case equipment and parts. Do you have anymore pics of this building you can post? Nick
