Calif. is finely getting rain. Yesterday it rained 4 in. in about 5 hrs. When the run off came out of the hills it was a mess. There was flooding in the valley about 20 miles away. Here are some pictures of our bridge that goes over Paynes Cr. to our home. Looks like I have my weekend cut out for me. There was about 2 ft. of water going over the top. Steve

Wow Steve, that is some picture of just what water will do. Like you say, looks like you have your work cutout for you, though you do have 3 helpers ready and willing to assist you I see. Any ideas on how you will rebuild, please keep us posted.

What part of ca are you in? I am in the bay area and we got 3.5 inches, but absolutely no damage any where near me.

Yeah that whole area is a wide spot in the road. Lived in Chico for a couple of years, so at least familiar with Red Bluff.

Steve, I thought you were in a drought? Just a few showers up here in Grants Pass. Pretty well Tee Shirt westher by late morning everyday. Heading to Ohau Sat, should be a little warmer.

Looks like you have got your hands full. Do you have a vehicle out on the road side of your bridge? Must be a real PIA, if you don't. Is that bridge a flat deck railroad car, repurposed in the past?
Good luck to you, if it were a couple hour drive, I too would be glad to help you. I'm sure you have some good neighbors around you that will help.

Yes both our road pickups were on the roadside. Bridge is the bottom of a 66 ft. box car. Work crew is coming in the a.m.

At least you didn't have to go hunting for the bridge!
Out here in west Texas we are approaching only getting half our average annual rainfall. That average is only in the low twenties for the year. We have missed below average the last five years at least. Several lakes around with less than 10% of capacity.

We need the rain. Here in Granite Bay, Ca not too much damage, minor flooding, but our water supply Folsom Lake only came up 3 feet. We have another 90 feet to go.
