2670 noise in reverse

Found a 2670 for sale with 400 hours on a reman engine. The transmission works fine in forward gears but makes a noise in reverse. Any ideas what is causing the noise in reverse. And how expensive the fix would be. Could the PTO be the problem. TIA Keith

If the noise is a high piched whine, nothing to worry about, All RPS trannys make that noise in reverse. The sound was more pronounced in the big 4WD tractors.
