Hello guys I have a few case tractors and always wanted to make one a narrow front. Did they make a Narrow front for a case 1070 or 970? What was the largest tractor available with a narrow front end from Case? If so where would a person get one? Any help or information would be great! Thank you!

I have seen pictures of 970's with the NF, so I assume the 1070's could be equipped that way also as the front end is the same. The 1175's used the same also so the NF should work there also, but I bet it was not available from the factory that way. Someone will more than likely post a picture for you. Rod.

Some can be made into narrow front, and some cannot. On some of them the bracket that bolts to the steering gearbox, and the tie rods, can be removed, and the narrow front bolts right on. On some the bracket is part of the gear box, and there is nowhere to bolt the narrow front on.

1070 was the largest available from the factory. Think 72 was
the last year. Newer models can be retrofitted with a minimum
of work

1st 1070 I ever saw was a tricycle front , at the 1st tractor pull I ever saw,, at the 1st Indiana state fair, I attended ..that was 1970 or 71...And What a pull it was,Everything was right off the farm ,no hopped up genius nitemares and daydreams... The 1070, did win the class,, Barely!.. it edged out oliver and Minnie Moline,,with allis rite close ,,massey deer and ihc were respectable but were not able to pull nearly as far ,,

Look at the center part that the tie-rods are connected to. If that part has 4 bolts securing it to the main center shaft, that can be removed and the narrow front bolted up there. Later ones had that bracket that the tie rods hook to and main center shaft as one part.
