830 case possible clutch

So today I jump on my 830 C.K. (8 speed) to move a little snow, It would barely move in reverse.. so I droped it into the low side of the trans and it took off. I tried a forward gear in high and again it would just creep along, but on the low side it was fine. I fiqured It needed a clutch adjustment as I noticed the pedal had zero free play, so I adjusted it out so the clutch has about 2 inches of free play, got back in it and it started to work.. sort of, anytime I tried to go up a hill it would just sort of wimp out, if I put it in low it would get me to where I needed to go. The clutch is only about 3 years old with maybe 200-300 hours, mostly for moving snow and a little bit of mowing. I took that inspection cover off and looked in there it looked ok, but I dont really know. I also noted that clutch arm has a key way in it and it appears it is all in tack and I dont see how it could turn on that splined shaft anyway. I used it last night to move a couple of car bodies around and had no problems? anybody have any ideas?

are you getting oil on that NEW clutch ??front seal in tranny could be sliking you ,, especially if it is parked on a slope to aid in cold weather starting .is there oil seeping out at the bell housing ?? .if evident ... lucas hub seal mite help put new sealability into the seals ...

Thanks for a possible simple solution but unfortunality after talking to someone who has forgot more about case tractor then I know, I looked in that inspection cover and the throw-out bearing is as far back as it can go against the rear end housing so I think my clutch is shot. He also suggested that possibly the bearings around the shaft that goes in the housing (the one that moves the throw-out bearing) may not be moving freely therefore caused the clutch to drag..

I had a similiar problem with my Series 830 model 841 CK. When I went up a hill, the tractor would loose speed. As time went on the situation got worse.
Replacing the clutch plate, replacing the pressure plate and truing the fly wheel completely solved the problem.
The friction material on the clutch plate was about 1/3 the thickness of the new one. I had detected that it was thin by looking at the thickness with a mirror through the inspection plate.
Hope this helps.
Thanks
