Gosh I have seen many times where the remote valve on 70 series has been replaced. I am sure there has been some that were not repairable but for the most part my guess is those being replaced could have been fixed very easily. Most of the time you repair check valves and reseal the valve. This valve I am working on the owner bought to fix the loader settling problem he had (check valves needed repair) but bought another problem, low pressure. I only needed to reseal and adjust the relief, but I checked out the rest of the valve also at the same time. Rod.

Looks like y oil drain pan/parts washing vat, small bend for pouring and all. Guess these are antiques now that everything I see are plastic.

Rod,
I totally agree. There is not a lot of places where things can go wrong in those valves other than the thermo's, the main relief, and on rare ocasional mechanical problem with the control shafts.

They are not much fun to take off though. I just pull the ends off, pull the seats, and press new ones in right on the tractor. By the time you could get the valve off I am done. I guess if you need to pull the relief valve it needs to come off any way.
