Hydraulics and 3 point hitch are not working. Worked but
slowly in the past. Loosened the connections outside of the
hydraulic pump and it appeared to be pumping air. Spit out
bubbles and yellow foamy fluid until it started pumping steadily
but flow was weak and fluid was still yellow and foamy. Just
changed filter and fluid last week. Been parked in barn. Any
help would be appreciated.

Since most of us don't have acess to a flow and pressure tool, I would first pull the pump off the rear housing and inspect the quad-ring on the pump intake tube. If bad, replace and try things again. If that doesn't help, you are going to have to pull the rear tranny housing, and check for a clogged intake screen.
You need a cherry picker and a pair of 5/8X8" dowels to remove and reinstall the rear housing, or you will destroy the plastic suction screen.
If there are a lot of small black particals on the suction screen and your tractor is a late model power shift with the bonded linings on the clutch plates, the linings are comming off the plates due to inproper oil being used in the tranny.

Thanks. I took a shot at the pump since it looked pretty straight forward. Whoever had the tractor before us put a round rubber O ring and looks like Teflon tape around the intake tube. I found the pump gasket part number in the Case IH on line parts catalog. I know I have seen a parts diagram somewhere that shows the intake tube and O ring so I can get a part number but I have failed to find it again.

Thanks. I took a shot at removing the hydraulic pump since it looked pretty simple. Whoever had the tractor before my dad put a rubber O ring around the intake tube backed up by what looked like Teflon tape. The O ring had a tear about 3/8 inch in it and tape was mashed flat. Pump looks fairly new but had silicone for gasket. I found a gasket part number in the Case IH online parts catalog but that diagram does not show the intake tube or the O ring for it. I have seen a diagram that shows the intake tube and O ring but I have failed to get back to it.

IIRC the pump, feed tube and pump oring are show together, The oring in the tractor end is very easy to cut because the feed tube is very sharp,

I always take the tube to the grinder and put a bevel on it then wire brush the grinding to smooth it, lube it with some grease, put the pump in place and gently rock it it should go in with very little pressure

I recently posted about our Case 970 hydraulics not working. I have changed the O ring between the intake tube from the pump to the sump following advise on being careful about not tearing the O ring when putting the pump back on. The old one was torn. I now have steering and the remote outlets work but very slow. Feels like there is no pressure when activating the remote handles. Lift arms are not working. Hydraulic pump is still pumping yellow frothy fluid when I loosen the line going to the filter. I was told by a neighbor I could blow air back through the sump to see if it would work better. He claimed this would be a sign that the screen was clogged. Are there any relief valves that could be stuck and if so where would they be located.
