I us Cen-Pe-Co 15W40 oil in all my tractors, an equipment. My question is this a good oil ? Now what would you use.
Jerry from Ohio

Jerry you are stirring up hornets nest LOL I myself use two oils CASE Hy-Tran and CASE HD 15-40wt dsl oil, I use it year around and in almost everything I have including my Dodge with the 5.9 dsl, lot of people use shell 15-40 I tried it once and now I would not even use it to lube chains with, to me its a over the road truck oil and has a low crankshaft load rating, to each his own I say

Tom, I us this in all my vehicles and farm equipment. Just trying to fine out why the turbo froze up. I run it in my dodge 5.9 also with no problems. Jerry

Tom, I have never given that a thought. We have had some 40 mph winds. Maybe I need to put a rain cop on it,or put back in the barn every day.

Jerry,
Can you give me a reference to that crankshaft test.

I would like to review the test, I have used shell oil in my old tractor and dodge diesel, so far so good, but I am open to new things. Some say it smells, but so far I have not noticed any problems.

My neighbor uses Delco oil in his diesel trucks.

Thanks Fred,

Note: I did goggle the test but no luck,

Fred, Here is a phone number to call 1-800-553-1891 . This is on the drum of oil and should get you to the company head quarters.
