Not as fancy as Rods disc chisel but have a Case Chisel Planter chisel that I have put high clearance shanks on to get 20-24" working depth. Got some heavy ground that needs to be deep tilled once in a while. This one will clear the stalks while the Case 5600 chisel is used on wheat and bean stubble. Has the original coulters used when it was a chisel planter.

Steve it looks like it is doing a nice job. Wish I had a chisel like that to work some of our bean stubble ground. Rod.

Older equipment is getting harder to find. Not much on dealers lots nowadays. Farm sales are about the only source here. The Case model 5600 I got last year is a very good plow. Has the higher shanks for better clearance.

Steve, after seeing your place I have to say you have been to a LOT of sales!! lol great pics I am betting tillage work is done for you and Rod with "Astro" on top of us! I have a small high clearance CASE might be a "500" unit that I might be able to let Rod have but its missing two shanks, got any extras you would sell? Me I use the "WC" as I cannot go over 5"-8" deep max at a time here anyway, too many rocks and Wyoming ground, thanks for the pics

Lookin out the window this morning I think we are done for the year. Predicting 12" here! As far as extra shanks, I'm sure there are some farm sale specials here.
