Parts availability

Although a mechanic for years I am pretty new to restoring tractors. I am currently working on 69 and 53 Fords. When I am done I am going to sell the 69 5000 and buy a Case, preferably pre-war. I have a Case RE power unit I would like to haul around at shows so I am leaning towards a C or R series tractor (especially an orchard if possible). Any advice on parts availability on these and also what to look for in particular when buying one would be appreciated.

C Amick is right as far as the c series goes there are still a lot of parts and parts tractors out there and even up here where they are harder to find they always seem to sell around the $500 to $1000 mark for a nice parts tractor and as far as a runner-once again this is up here-You can expect to pay anywhere from $1500-$3500 depending on how original it is But one thing is for sure once You get everything working on the tractor You will most likely never have to touch it again as they are one of the most dependable tractors out there with very little maintenance.
