Well got to run the "600" for a few today, only had 10 min or so cutting here at the house but did get the elevator full of seed and about 30 lbs in the tank of Alfalfa seed, this is one smooth running machine she just purrs, I have not installed the fixed screen in her and I do get a few more pods, I will do a bit more fine tuning tomorrow

Guess your day went better than mine, Tom. After 46 years the tire gave up. Cold windy miserable day here. Bought a tire from a neighbor and got the machine jacked up and ready to remove the wheel and dismount Monday morn.

Dang Steve hate to see that! those corn heads look mighty heavy so I guess 46 years is workable, glad you found one so close, I need four of them for my 1470

those are really great vids, I love seeing these vintage machines at work looks like they all are in great shape and working order, as for the chain they seem to test us some times but at least they are pretty easy most times to fix

that machine is equipped much like mine, I am thinking mine is older as I see yours has a rod to secure the unloading auger, great family history pic

That is fun to see,I saw it go by on the interstate when it was delivered. They really had to be a top of the line combine in they're day!

Great video and what a backdrop for one Where are You located and that machine Purrs like a kitten in a cream can.

I see yours has a longer clean grain elevator then mine. The auger on mine is actually below the top of the grain tank. I love the simplicity of all three combines when it comes time to fix. I had a hydraulic leak on the variable speed line right were it goes underneath the ops platform. Just made a new hose and bypassed the steel line. The chain is no big deal. Just have to find another idler because that is what broke.

mine has a "bucket elevator" these were standard on a bean machine, not sure why this one was equipped with it other than the owner did run beans with it
