Need some help w/ 188

Just discovered neither sleeves nor pistons available from CASE for the 188 gas. That engine had wide usage, 630's, combines, 580 hoes, ect. The part numbers in the 630 book for the gas sleeve & diesel sleeve are different. Anyone know where the difference in the sleeves are? Can we machine a diesel sleeve to work?

My spec sheet has the dimensions on the sleeve holes the same from the 188 gas clear through the 207 diesel. mEl

I know with others like the 251 sleeves are the same gas to diesel just pistons were different. Could be different part numbers because of different material?
