Corn Harvest Pics,

Progress is good but slow. Corn still hanging on to more moisture than I care to see. The 1660 has performed well and it is a joy to operate. The cornhead had a few issues at first, but nothing a $1000 couldn't fix. LOL. I am very happy with the job it does now. And of course the 12+1370 do everything I ask of them, pull loads and chop stalks with no glitches. Rod.

What is your moisture running? Nice pics! Looks like you have a lot of tires to maintain as well.

Same here, Rod. Been waiting for it to dry some. Chopped stalks up to the combine and tillage work done up to the combine too. Was at 17.6 today. Wish I had your machine. My 1660 Case is struggling this year. I guess that's a good thing.

Very good pictures of corn harvest. I'm impressed by your 6 unit "Grain Train'. Can you unload without unhooking? Do you have difficulties over hilly roads or making turns. I've pulled 3 and can't imagine how much skill the operator uses to make everything work. Your neighbors must be amazed when you go past.

Moisture has run 17.5-23. It came down several points last week when we had a couple days in the 70's. Rod.

I only pull 3 when they are loaded. Will hook and pull 6 when moving to a different location. They all follow very good, the last wagon turns in almost at the very same spot as the first one. When turning into a driveway it is almost comical to watch behind as they all turn just as they should. You would think the last couple would try to cut the corner, but they don't. Rod.

Not a struggle here Steve, hail damaged corn running about 100-120 bu ac. Hopefully next year the combine will get a true test, Rod.

Great pics Rod!! that is also a very fine line of equipment and the "new" 1660 fits right in!! you always do VERY nice work!! Jill is saying HAPPY HALLOWEEN to everyone as well, she has her birthday flowers from yesterday

Rod,

Do you have someone helping or do you have to do this all alone?

Nice photos. The rows are SO straight. Were they planted with GPS guidance??

Our area (Waseca County) has some low yielding fields too as they were damaged by hail and an early frost.

I do all the work for the farm by myself. Once every few years my wife or son will chop stalks or haul a load or two if they can for a day, but that is about it. I do not use GPS or auto steer. Rod.

does the 1370 have a tendancy to go south easy?lol!!!Looks like you kept the weeds under control after the hail.We have lots of weeds after the hail lots of black nightshade. Grrrrr!Nice looking equipment.Does'nt seem like it should be november 1st already.

Rod, looks pretty nice in your parts. Here (w. mi.) things here are WET fields-n-crops wet ground 33% lite 18% corn. They where running beans thur the nite last week. Back to corn this week between snow showers and rain. Depends who you talk to coen 100 to 150 per. Beans mostly 50 to 70 per. Oh we got a "sawed-off runt cop" chases down the locals tells them "next time I see more then 2 wagons in tow I'am give'n yeah ticket! I think that many wagons (yours)if yeah give the wheel alittle left then right you could put him in the cornfield hee hee. Be careful out there guys machines have no respect for flesh. God Bless
