It leaks like crazy. Had to chuckle when I saw this. Brings back memories of a good customer years back always had twine wrapped around the axles of his 970. For years I went through the trouble of cutting the mess off for him. He never learned until I decided I am not wasting my time cleaning that twine off for him because apparently he does not care. Funny after paying for replacing axle seals a couple times his habits changed, LOL. Rod.

They started useing them about the same time that round balers became popular around here. Before round bales, the beaters on manure spreaders used seals like that. Case even made a special tool to remove them from spreaders. HeHe.
