David Brown 1210 made of unobtainium?

A local guy broke a spindle on a DB 1210 MFWD and wants me to fix it. I have found that they used three different front ends, pretty sure this one is a Carraro. Question is, are there any of these in the States? Looking like finding repair parts will be a nightmare. Thanks

There are a few around here still earning their keep.

The Carraro axle tube is round, no drops at the ends, with metric grease fittings... The others are square.

Carraro parts are still available, even some aftermarket. I've never seen a 1210 with a Carraro.

The earlier axle's parts are nearly impossible to find, even simple stuff like U-joints.

I'm trying to get the owner to send me some decent pic's and I will post them. He's not much with a computer, and I'm worse yet. I have used Google image search for 1210 4wd's a few times, about 98% of them have what I am guessing is a Kramer axle, the other 2% show the one I have in question. The few pics and exploded diagrams I am finding for Carraro look just like this one to me. No drops, square tube, the differential is in the center, the steering slave cylinder is built in the the top rear of the diff housing, and a lot of the casting numbers start with a K, which really throws me. All of the 1210's with a Kramer axle look like they have a much larger front hub, the wheel looks almost like a Ford 9N, this one has a much smaller hub. THANKS

David brown built some of their own axles too. The "k" in part numbers is a DB thing. Look for pictures of a DB 1200 4x4 and see if that looks right.

There is also a "Selene" axle used on 1200s.
