Well, Monday I decided it was time to repair the leaky steering cylinders. Couldn't get the goffy retaining pins out of the drag kink type ends on the front of the cylinders, so I just dropped the whole front axke. Took the cylinders to the local hyd shop Min, afternoon. They called Tuesday after lunch and said they were repaired. WOW. Picked them up Wed afternoon and made the deal on the 930 on the way home. Got the front axle all back in Thursdat morning. Then I started plumbing up the hydraulics the way I wanted them. I got this hyd system from Lazy WP/Nick last winter. The 440 was a bare back. I now have it plumbed with dual double acting remotes to the rear and mid mounted coupler on one valve which I can use as single acting od double acting, by mearly opening or closing a high pressure volume/shut off valve formally used on an IH combine and Case hyd reset plows. I'm glad that I had it, as I found that when the valve was fully open the single action cylinder on the plow would not drop, and I was getting some overflo out of the breather. Turned the valve in a bit to cause a bit of flow resistance which activated the hyd interlock, so the plow could drop and no more oil coming out of the breather. The top RH coupling on the rear of the tractor can also be used with SA cylinders. The rear couplings are Case 90 series IS0s that I had stashed away.
Plan on getting my mod 3pt. hitch fabed up this comming week, along wuth getting the desert sunset paint on the canopy roof and plow blade.

I took them skinny things off a year ago. These work muck better hauling the sap gathering tanks in deep snow and mud in the woods. One of my goals when mtg this plow was to keep the frame of it high so it wouldn't hang me up in the woods. Odviously the blade will be off when we use it in the woods. It's fast and easy to detatch and remount.

How much do you have to shut the flow down? I have a set of single action valves tied into what used to be my Eagle Hitch valve on my 800. Part of the time my mower bars won't lower, unless I shut the remote off.

(quoted from post at 19:05:13 10/25/14) I missed a pic.

My father has been looking to put a front blade like this on his David Brown tractor. Did u fabricate this from a snow plow blade? What did you use for the brackets/arms? Thanks :)
