Very interesting. I had a cummings just like that one that looked like it came out of a LA Case. I had always figured it was out of the origional L that had the Cummings motor, and that some one put it in a LA. Guess I was wrong and maybe there was others with that motor. I always wanted to here that motor run, but like most of my C and L series stuff, I let it go. You wouldnt by chance have pics of the other side?

Hello Bill Koobl

VERY VERY interesting indeed - the photo's of the model "L" fitted with the 4 cylinder Cummins diesel engine prototype in 1933. I have studied "CASE" for many many years now, howver have never come across this experimental set up.
However I do know that Deere & Co purchased an "LA" and fitted it with a "GM" diesel prior to the introduction of high powered wheel tractors as an experimental unit, in fact a friend of mine knows the person who currently owns the "LA" in the States as he is a John Deere collector.
Again many thanks for the interesting photographs.

My memory hasn't failed me yet. I thought I remembered pictures of the only Cummins powered L in "Full Steam Ahead." Look on pages 164 and 165; there's even a photo of the left side for Chancesr.
