What year did case change to a foot clutch on the SC?

You could also get a hand clutch in 53' and 54'.

I have a '54 SC w/foot clutch. According to the build card, it left the assembly line on 5-17-54. It wasn't shipped to SD until sometime in '55. I read some where that there were only 1,185 foot clutch SC's built and that they were built in late '53 & '54 only. Many built during that time still had hand clutches, as that's what loyal Case customers wanted. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
