Case Model L Diesel Prototpe 1933

Alright hopefully this post can generate a little bit of knowledge from around the country since my research has come up alil dry.. In 1932 JI Case purchased a diesel engine from Cummins one year later they released a prototype tractor they tested the tractor which supported the engine perfectly it was free standing like the case gasoline block and provided low operating costs along with decent power not to mention the idea was all sorts of cool... my question to the rest of collectors out there is... Is the prototype still in existence at any museum stateside? Also does anyone know what the block number might of been? Its something id like to see or on a further stretch like to duplicate beings I have an L with not a lot to lose..

It used a Cummins model H engine. The tractor is in White Fish Montana if I remember right. With some digging through the records from Prairie Village 2008 I could tell you for sure, and the guys name. DK

I guess never say never. However one L case with cummins in White Fish mt was put together from a 1938 case L with starter transmission case and block for starter. This tractor I bought in Colorado just east of denver. After several years I sold it to Charles English who sold it to the fellow in White Fish. I spoke with the fellow in White Fish years ago. He did use the same model cummins as case used back in the day.

Great information guys. I understand this stuff is hard to dig up.. does anyone know if the bell used an adapter plate to fit it to the case side? also the intake system from the photos I have seen look much like a gas motor with a few modifications...
