The 580, It's the Best Helper I Have!

I really don't know how some of these chores got accomplished before the 580 was on the yard. Even my wife loves it because she no longer has to help me move dead tractors. The 580 moves them with ease. Rod.

Lot of thing may leave but the 580 STAYS! not a lot of days go by here when I do not use mine! spent much of the day running my 450 today, great pics Rod thanks for sharing

Rod,When I started working for the county in 1985 they had a 580. I was amazed at the lifting power on both ends.Very efficient also.The first time I spun the seat around and looked at all those levers I didn't think i'd ever catch on, but with enough practice i could pull levers and make it do what I wanted.Maybe tell Ethal not to look because that 2090 looks naked.Lol!!! Is your corn still wet like ours?
 
the dirt is wet but not muddy but it is packed down hard!! comes out in chunks some times and has many different layers to deal with, I Hate it when they back fill when its too wet! even after 40 years it still a mess to deal with

Yes, wet corn. I will go and sample some this afternoon, hoping to find something I can harvest. The parts tractor is almost ready. Rod.
 
Rod, this is a old oil well location from the mid to late 60's, they had to build a pad for the rig to set on as this is a low area, they left 95% of the dirt in the pad and the reserve pit settled about 2' or so and makes a pond now, been needing to do this for years just now taking the time to do it and the conditions are good for working this very tightly packed down area, jump in your truck I will let you doze for a few hours!!

I do things on a smaller scale. My Kubota KX 41 trackhoe is my third arm. It is sort of what you would call a self propelled ride-on cherry picker.
