trying to identify a case mower

Hello all,

I had this in the implement forum and a
gentleman said i should bring it to this forum
for your expert advice. anyway, i am trying to
identify a case mower so i can help my brother
figure out how to mount it on his Case 400
standard tractor. it has a similiar shape and
parts to my T10 trailer type, but his has a
tailwheel and is supposed to somehow hook to
the drawbar of the tractor, and it is the old
case green like a 7-something mower was, but it
has the frame and parts just like my T10, i
have no idea what it really is and he doesn't
know what the mount is supposed to look like
and or how the lift for the cutting bar is
supposed to work. i have been searching google
for a long time trying to nail down a pic of
his and cant yet. any help you guys????

i thought i just posted this one, but it
doesn't seem to show up so if this is a
duplicate post, i am sorry.

thanks very much.

they made "T-10" mowers three ways, pull-type, Eagle Hitch/3pt, or mounted like you describe, I have all three models and parts books for them I can see what I can find for you tonight

oh man, that would be great! thank you very much, i have a book for my T-10 but it doesn't talk about the other methods of hooking up the 10 mower. thank you very much, i really appreciate it.

Bro, you have to show me a model 10 mower with a caster wheel on the rear of it. Case did offer a 3pt cradle, which allowed a trailing type pto driven hay conditioner (Cunnungham) like we had here on the farm. The 10 mower was nestled into a cradle and had an extended pto shaft behind the belt pulley and an adjustable length hitch much like a receiver hitch on the rear to hook the crimper to. The 10 series mowers were discontinued when CASE started badging and marketing Hesston mower conditioners.
The pic. is a TA7 mower mounted onto a bracket that bolted to many tractor brand and model drawbar breakets.

his is defianately a model 10 varient, parts from my trailer t-10 fit on it as we have swapped parts back and forth on occasion and it has the whole frame just the same as my t-10 but it has the caster wheel out back, it isn't a small wheel like mine has 2 of, it is very similar to the one that used to be on dad's 7-series when we were growing up, and it is painted that same color also! i will try and get over to snap some pics of the mower so i can post also. also see what nutty comes up with, hopefully he has some info on what my brother has.
thanks all.

Well, that is a variation that was never sold around here. We sold a lot of model "E" and model 10 mowers 3pt and a few trailer type, but never saw one like that. As I stated Case made a cradel for the M10 so we could hook a crimper on the back, and they sold well for a while.
I went back to my E series price list and there was no option like that there, Strictly 3pt. Unfortunatly, Dad tossed the model 10 price lists years back.
