just got home form picking up a "new" 140W baler, trip went great, got to meet Bill and Troy who helped out by storing it a month or so, they also gave us a tour of their farm and collection! So did anyone happen to see us on the road? Trip added a little over 1100 miles to the truck, we also got to swing down to my youngest daughters and see their new house it was a really good time! the first pic is them "leading us in" as you can see Bill and Troy take a much better pic than I, THANK YOU again Bill and Troy!

Good to hear the road trip went well Tom, you should have had good weather for travel. Baler looks to be in good condition and you will have to show us some pics if it gets used a little. Congrats on the new addition, Rod.

Thanks Rod, yes the weather was good, we had some wind Sat morning to deal with for about 250 miles but all was good, the baler will get some straw through it next year, seems to be very nice shape but as know I do have some things that need attention, bot tires look to be original as well, I will see about unloading it today nad getting the chamber cleaned out and find a spot for it inside

(quoted from post at 12:08:44 10/20/14) Is that dirt on your face Tom or just tired eyes? hee hee

Whew, That baler bring back memories of when I was much younger! Them balers made bales for men, not boys to handle. Kids nowadays have it made , if you can get them away from video games long enough top get them in the field.

I'd rather handle the little 45 lb bales than them 80-90 lb ones those 140s would crank out. We used to load a flatbed GMC all day long with those suckers, in my teens then, wouldn't want to go back there for that reason at least.

Tom, Great looking baler. What year is it? Know you will need to get more help to bale.

Good move on the goggles. I only have one eye , and I wear safety glasses from the time I wake till I rest my head on the bed at night.

mEl, did you have the wire version as well? I am looking for a ops to learn how to thread her ect, I cut the bales in the chamber today and cleaned it out so I will need to rethread her, I have the dual wheel for it as well, seems to be a pretty nice baler, need to lube/adjust some chains, I want to adjust the bale length to make a nice tight 45-50lb straw bale to sell to the local COOP, here is the "twist" she makes, thanks for the ride behind your "140"

Saturday must have been move a baler day! I went down to southwest Virginia to pick up a Case 230 twine tie. Sorry, no pics but maybe next spring when haying starts. Maybe I'll get both 230's in the field at the same time. Glad to hear your trip went well.

Tom, I have a dual wheel for a 140T. Still have the baler. We replaced two spindles before we decided the dual idea wasn't so good. Tom
