Big 400 hydraulic pump

I have been told that any gear drive case tractor with eagle hitch the hydraulic pumps are the same. The pump on my 400 is bad an I was wondering if one off a 830 with eagle hitch will work on it? Thanks for the help

SO THAT I MAY UNDERSTAND, REBUILD PARTS ARE,OR ARE NOT AVAILABLE?IS IT COST PROHIBITIVE TO REBUILD ONE? Chuck

Rebuild parts are not available. It is possible to reface the sides of pumps, but if the gears are worn to a certain point you still won't have much pressure. The late production pumps had wear plates that could still be obtained about 15 years ago, but I don't know that they are still available. With the small reservoir, many of these pumps were sooner or later run dry and ruined.

Call Keith at 605-212-0030 he may have a couple complete pumps and pto he is in S.D.
