New to Case and recently purchased a 930. Wondering why the fenders have headlight buckets in the front covered with a plate? They were obviously made for more lights weren't they?? Most all pics I can find show none "factory added"

Got the lites in the fender buckets on the 930. Do a good job for nite work.

Here's a shot from a 1965 catalog showing the culitvating lights offered as "special eqpuipment"
The 2nd sheet is a specs sheet, look on the lower right under special equipment (you may have to use the ctrl key and scroll to enlarge the print)

That makes sense as to the "cult" position on the light switch now. Still odd to see these tractors without them now. With the two little lights in the hood field work at night would be tough. Anyone have any leads on front weights? I would like to have a full set. Near southern Ohio

. When I worked at CP&E (Case Power & Equipment), every tractor sold had 6 or 8 dealer prep items performed before delivery, including extra working lights.Nobody quit at sunset and the two lights in the hood of a "30" series was not enough. Extra fender lights were a big help for front mount cultivating, loaders, plowing, cutting hay, getting on and off, etc. The list is endless. BTW,Does any make those side rails? They are really handy.

The 1030 I just bought was the same way. I took off the plates, and ordered the proper lights and mounting washers from Elmer's Repair. Lights were $30 each, and the washers were cheap. Just got them out of the box today, along with a new clutch and a few other parts. Got the clutch done today, might mount the lights tomorrow.

All I can say is good luck! Took me about 10 years to accumulate the 14 I have! Be better off putting the 1030 flat front wrappers on with a suitcase bracket.
