Just curious. Is this actually a factory set up or is this a nicely done loader to dozer conversion? Did Case make a combo loader/dozer model? That is what this one look like. If it is a home conversion I am impressed with the workmanship.

Jim,
I saw that too. It was the first one that I ever saw non a Case crawler/loader, but not the first pic of a setup like that. I have seen some simililar setups on oldert IH machines. My thoughts are that there was an aftermarket manufacturer that designed and offered these conversions.
The conversion is very simple if an owner had a crawler loader and wanted a dozer blade. Buy a std. dozer blade for your crawler, Either outside push or inside push, less all hyd lifting equipment, and fab up control linkes that connected to the loader lift cyl. pins and connected to where the dozer lift cylinders would attach. No hyd hoses/cylinders involved, Just some fabricated steel linkage between loader boom and dozer boom. I suspect there were some visibility and overhead clearance issues though.
