This is not what I had in mind for a successful hunting season. Nor did I want to look for another service pick-up. Just dropped all coverage except liability last year cuss it was over 10 years old. Runs good yet but there is a lot of damage. Just to many deer around here, we kill more with vehicles in this county than hunters harvest. I have had a half dozen near misses this year and one finally got me, Rod.

Well that's not the cost effective way of hunting! Sorry to hear that, Rod. Had a lot of close calls around here lately too, really stirred up with the crops coming off now.

That sucks. Nice looking deer though. I have the same truck except in black. The ex girlfriend hit a deer with mine last year then my hired help ran a fencepost through the grill and condenser. Parts were pretty cheap off eBay. Cheaper than used parts. Good luck.

Dang he really did a lot of damage. If you have that many deer you may want to think about getting grill guards for your vehicles.[just my 2cents worth]The sheriff's dept here have them on all there vehicles including cars.

You gotta get a grill gaurd. My brother and his Dodge have been thinning the herd near his house for years. The grill guard slips back but not into the front end. Try LMC Truck parts online for some parts. he just replaced both headlights through Advance Auto parts due to cracking.

On vacation once we were sitting in the Beartooth IGA parking lot in Red Lodge Montana before going over Beartooth Pass, and we noticed all the vehicles in town, including cars and mini-vans, had deer gaurds on them. Made us think a bit about what native species must wander around here, and we drove a little slower.

He's a dandy congrats! Yea that sucks alright. They should be in rut right now I think. He probably had one thing on his mind. MN gun deer season must be coming up soon?

Rod,

That's an expensive way to put some venison in the freezer.

I had never hit a deer until 2 years ago when I hit two bucks in 2 months. First one was (only) $1800 and the 2nd was 4400. I've seen enough deer damage for awhile. I hope you can repair your truck reasonably. Don

I got a Doe on my way home from work last week at 1:35 am. 3 of them jumped out of a corn field in front of me, missed the first but couldn't miss the second $5500 damage to my car.
