Our local Edge branch 9 tractor club had a plow day and barbacue at the local high school FFA field today. Some of the kids had never drove a tractor before. Had three kids join the tractor club at plow day event. We need more young people. Great weather, 85 degrees. Rained an inch a week ago, so field was perfect.

Many of todays youth have no clue about where their food comes from. Thanks for letting some of them have a hands on learning experience about that and driving tractors. We need our younger generations to become more involved. Thanks for teaching and posting.

Nice looking plow day. Our club is having a plow day Nov. 8th at our ranch. Bring a tractor & plow and come south for the day. Steve

Dick, where are you located? I am in Keizer, Oregon. I thought you were in Oregon? I was in Grants Pass picking up a Studebaker truck yesterday. Your pics look like Southern Oregon? Zane

I'm in Grants Pass. I was going to take my 500 diesel but with only 4 acres, I left it to the small tractors. Dick

Left to the small tractors?? I think of a Super WD9 as a BIG tractor. The toolbar cultivator behind it would be a quite small load unless your soil is more compact and heavy than it looks.

In there day The WD9 was the big tractor on the farm.Sure has changed!
grandpa farmed 3/4 section with just a 2n and a bareback 41 JD A. Even pulled a 2 row MM picker with the 2n.

I think the FFA here has about the same ratio of girls to boys.
