This is a 5 digit serial # for a DC Case and I know there are suppose to be 7 digits. This 5 digit number is stamped in the serial plate and the bell housing. The tractor is equipped with Eagle hitch and hand clutch, so it must be around a 1953 model tractor. What do you guys think about this serial number? Would it have been done when they went from the first two numbers that designated the age or the numbered serial number? Or is it just a fluke from Case Company? If so, how did it get past inspection?
