DB-880 Three Point Hitch Problem

I was bush hogging with our David Brown 880, and the three point hitch quit lifting. I took the bush hog off and it would lift, but not with any major weight on it. I ran it up and down a few times, and now it's up and won't go down.
Any thoughts or ideas? I have the shop manual ordered
The remote valve seems to work ok
Thanks
Pete

Hey Pete, I have all the manuals for the 880 and can email them to you. There's a lever at the extreme rear of the tractor (you have to be standing behind the tractor to access it). Its on the left hand side. I believe this lever has three (3) positions and in one of those positions, the three point arms are locked in the "up" position. Did you or someone happen to move that lever? Might be something to try. Check out this website and download the 880 instruction manual. It will tell you what all those levers do. May give you some insight into the problem. Good luck.
