Case 660 Combine

I have a chance to buy a CASE 660 combine that is about 5 hours away and I need some hauling advice. First, how much does just the combine weigh? I can make another trip for the header. Second, what else should I know about moving it? Thanks in advance.

my book shows a 660 at 7050 lbs, this would be with a std header and no cab, if you remove the ladder it should be at or very close to legal width, the unloading auger can also be removed to gain another few inches, height with no cab and screen and intake folded you are right at 10' height, they are a easy machine for me to haul on my 5th wheel goose neck, in the pic above my 960 has the drive tires set out wide and are over width a bit with tires turned in no problem, the weight above is for a 69 and 70 models as they had a bit more iron in them adding some weight maybe 250lbs at most and with standard equipment
I also added a pic of my "600" on a trailer, this is the same size machine as the 660

Thanks. The one I am looking at has a cab, but I can haul the head (10') separate, so I assume just under 7,000 lbs doing that. My trailer is also between the axle so I only have about 6 feet there. What I was thinking is if I could back it on, I could remove the front tires and block the front axle, which should lower it some. Again, thanks for the help and further comment is welcome.

yes you can do that, works real easy with at least one good floor jack and blocks, with a cab they are 11'6"-12'4" depending on tires, this one has a special elevator and is as tall as one with a cab

Speaking from experiance if you plan on backing it on and removing the front tires, it will work as long as the rear axle is centered. my oliver 430 the rear axle is offset because of the side mount grain tank. and with driving the rear axle between fenders I just couldn't get it lined up right to get the drives on the trailer evenly to make it comfortable with taking tires off.
