Tod,

Thanks for posting these pictures. I had no idea you could put a belt pulley on a Power Wagon. Beautiful restoration job on the Dodge as well. Don

That is a Beautiful Power Wagon! I have a rear PTO on my 1946 Willys CJ2A, But I do not have the belt pulley for it yet. They go for about $800 on Ebay. That is probably why I do not have one yet! Zane

Very nice setup, and rare.

The Power Wagon probably has more horse power than most of the big tractors of that era, enough to power a big thresher. Might eat more gas too. Does the engine run at full throttle for belt work? What HP could they deliver on a belt?

Again, very nice display!!!!

Here is what I know about the Dodge truck. It has a PTO belt pulley in the rear and a PTO winch up front.
The truck never even sniffled let alone snort. The trucks owner said when it was running the only thing different was it came up about 5 degrees in temp. Ran at 165 while working. I have no idea about belt HP or belt RPM but it ran a wagon full of winter white wheat that was cut the end of July. The truck has a separate throttle for the PTOs. It was very cool to see that truck work. Its always a crowd favorite at shows and parades.
P.s.
The wife of the Dodges' owner refers to the truck as his "Iron Mistress" LOL

Very interesting pics. Thank you for posting them. I'm another one who didn't know a PTO was offered for the Power Wagons. Excellent restoration too. Jim

The Power Wagon was tested at Nebraska test station in 1950. It pulled 6480 pounds. Belt horse power was 42.4. It had a 230 cu in flat head. Wonder what a Hemi could do.

That is the exact truck I've always wanted. When I was a kid or teen you could buy them running for about $500.00 in good shape. No one wanted them. Now, well, I could sell all my tractors and implements, all my livestock and my guns too and still not be able to swing something like that.

You know what they say about hindsight......
