66L loader removal from a 1410

I posted this on the DB Tractor Club Forum and will try here as well. We removed the 66L Case loader from our Case (David Brown) 1410 last week to have access to do a radiator repair. Not having much experience with farm machinery, we removed it the "hard way" ..... no need to go into detail other than we used some chains with a skid steer, etc. The side mounting rails are still on the tractor, we sort of slid the loader off forwards (clumsy and awkward) but it did work. Someone told me there is a way to do this using the tractor's hydraulics that's almost bulletproof ..... like remove two pivot pins and "back out" from the loader and then later when you want the loader on, "drive on" and put the pins back in. Meanwhile, I'm trying to guess what happens in between. Man, I'd like to see a video of this operation or a good explanation of how to do it.

No we don't have those ... the guys who mentioned this all to me said it tilts up and part of it stands on it's nose somehow when this all happens, not sure how that might work.

If you look on the bottom of the boom about 30" up from bucket pivot pins you should see heavy bushings welded to the boom arms. The suport legs were stored there parallel to the boom when loader was on the tractor, and were attached perpendicular to the boom, angled back to suport the boom and sub frame when off the tractor. The supports were made from 2.5" square tubing with flexable feet on the bottom/ To remove the loader, all you had to do was remove the stands from their storage position, install them at the upper end with the storage pins, and uncouple the valve supply and return lines and pull the two rear pins, and back away from the loader subframe and boom.
Here is what is in the OM.

This is great, just what we need. Do you happen to know the length of the legs (including the base plates)? If not, that's OK, we can figure something out.

Looking at the second page you posted from the manual, it's evident that we do not have the original loader control valves and hoses, although it works fine the way it's hooked up (a bit messy with hoses though). What has been done with this tractor is the loader rams (2 for main lift and 2 for bucket tilt)are controlled by the two factory control levers that are located down to the right side of the driver. It has a dual control there with one lever for each loader function.

Looking at our parts manual here makes me think that these 2 levers are intended for the 4 hydraulic lines that are positioned at the back of our tractor for rear hydraulically controlled implements.

There are no forward control levers on our tractor, nor is there anything hydraulic on the right fender. What's been done with ours is the 4 loader hoses are much longer than what you show us in the manual and they snake low beside the right side fender to the back, and then loop under the adjustable 3-point lift rod assembly, then up to the four hydraulic hoses that have these female quick couplers on them that I have been talking about. There are no coupling support brackets there but I see in our manual there are factory ones that should be there.

Hi again, found this link on the internet, the legs and whatever else can be seen on the left hand menu at the bottom with #46. I don't think we have the attachment unit at the bottom either which I assume should be bolted onto the loader. I'm not too handy to the tractor right now but I painted that loader and I don't remember seeing anything like that. Certainly give me an idea though of what is needed.
