Case 730 hydrolics

I need help! My 730 confort king has four hydrolics hook ups. I need them all to run my round baler. I cannot get them hooked up where both handles work. When I hook the lines up I get one of the levers to work but the other just lugs the engine down. I have rearrange them several different ways and can't get any results. What am I doing wrong?

The top hoses go together, and the bottom hoses go
together. On my 830, I have to look at the valves,
because the hoses are loose.

Thanks, I was wondering about that, also still having problems. knowing that I should be able to figure it out but the dang thing won't lift the end gate. I change the hoses and both handles will work when the one cylinder is hooked to it, but I can't get the other ram to work with either handle, no matter how I hook em up. it does pull the engine down when i pull the handle though.

Ya that confirms what I thought, but still can't get it to work. it is a vermeer round baler 605 super f can't get the back gate to open.

Just a thought but you did make sure that you have the correct hoses for the correct cylinders? You are not trying to plug one hose from the tailgate and one from the hyd tie, or whatever the other set goes to? Just a thought is all. Bob

After all the replies and your responces, it sounds like you have a problem with a coupling, male/female, not opening correctly causing a flow check, rather than an open circuit. You didn't mention if you are using old style Case couplings or if the tractor was converted to ASE/pioneer couplings. I believe you should start looking in that area to remidy your problem, as long as you have "paired" the circuits.

(quoted from post at 15:32:51 09/15/14) Rely dumb question, but is the safety valve closed on the gate cylinder?
Yes, after all it was the safety valve on the end gate. This was my first time using this baler, I have no manual and I didn't even know it had that valve. Thanks to everyone for posting, I learned things about the tractor and baler I didn't know.
