Case 1270 aux hyd pump kit

Just bought a 1270 Case that has an engine driven hydraulic pump and a flow control valve. I have a parts book and it shows this as an auxiliary hydraulic pump kit. #A67196 was a 6GPM type & #A67197 was an 11GPM kit. What was this used for? It looks like all the lines go back into the tractor.

Of the applications I seen they were used to run a hydraulic motor, mainly driving sprayer pumps. That left the tractors main hyd. system free for lifting implements. With the Aux. System you could vary the flow, something you could not do with the tractors standard system on the 70 series. Rod.
