I still cant see what drives people to scrap some of the things they do and I speak from experience I was hauling scrap out of an old farm and ran across 2 pieces of a mounted cultivator for an Oliver we debated on keeping it BUT in the end I (in my wisdom) decided to haul it in as it was not complete Yup You guessed it I went kicking through the grass by the woods about a quarter of a mile from where I found the other 2 sections and there was the final piece by the time I made it back to the scrap yard they had already cut up the other sections after that I felt bad knowing someone out there was probably looking for that cultivator and I have never scrapped anything like that since.
We just had a place near here that a lot of stuff went to scrap. Old guy had passed and his only son wanted to clean the place up. Couple of Ford majors and a lot of old implements. All gone. The son had no idea that some of that stuff would have been worth some money.
