How much pressure is too much??

Got a little carried away shimming the relief valve in a 930 today. Book says 1900 for a 930, 2050 for a 1030. I've got 2300 with cold oil and a fresh filter. Tractor won't be doing any real heavy lifting and no loader work. Think it'll hold up to that?

You will be fine, might find out if you have any weak hoses though, Rod.

If you lift anything really heavy on the 3 pt you might blow out the front side of the remote valve. BTDT.

A 930 and an SC are two completely different beasts so the results might be different, but I shimmed an SC and the pump housing broke.

Every casting is a little different, and some will take more pressure than others. Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure is to blow it up. Also, there might be other reasons for the lower pressure in the 930, even if the same pump is used in the 1030 at a higher pressure. Some other part of the system might be the limiting factor.
