Wonder that everyday. Graduated 46 years ago and have never been invited to a class reunion, guess they didn't like me. Can't do half the stuff I used to do. I am certainly not having any fun and don't have any family left.

One thing I have observed watching others get older.

As a general rule it's a good thing to have a few daughters among your kids.

Boys are good help when they are young and fun to watch play sports.

But when you are older, the daughters normally are much better to be around to help you and mama out with personal needs.

Old saying: a son is a son until he marries, but a daughter is a daughter forever.

Of course I have two great sons, but they do not live around that close.

Another version of that saying is:

Your son is your son until he gets him a wife.
Your daughter's your daughter for the rest of your life.

I too often wonder where did the time go.

Buried most of my friends. last one to go was just this spring.

Sad as heck sometimes to watch people go.

I graduated in 73.....2 great sons, wonderful wife.. Time has flown by. I had a great job and retired at 52. A 930 &vac to drive me nuts... (It wasnt always easy, my first wife passed away suddenly at 45, rough period boys were young) Retired farmer, There was a guy in Decatur when he turned 100 he bought a new Camaro.. Get out and have some fun make new friends.... I watch Joel Osteen, hes always preaching on being happy & living life to the fullest. .

Want to my 50th class reunion two years ago. Wife wants me to sell everything and move to town. Newest tractor on the place is a 78. Tell the wife I am still trying to be a BTO, just give me a little more time. Now I think of all the land around me I could of, and should of bought and didn't.

In that case we need to get together and have some fun. Life should e interesting and fun. I had to retire -always said I would never retire completely -then I started to run out of energy, then a host of other issues developed. Fortunately Uncle Sam took over (Agent Orange had its grip on me) I keep putting more in front on my bucket list than I will ever get done. It keeps me going and I am lucky I have a wonderful family to keep me occupied 7 grandchildren and a whole clan . I just want to accomplish more.

Tom great advice, the older we get the more stories we can tell............en the older ones(stories) are harder to remember. God Bless

since my wife"s passing I can tell you it"s true love the boys and they have been helpful but my daughter is a rock
