dc fender broke

i have a 49 dc and got hung up in a grape vine and broke the fender. i am sure it is cast iron.
what welding rod can i use to weld this back up?

Must be the bracket? Fenders are stamped steel.

After cleaning it up You could try using nickel rod to weld it But without any reinforcement gussets added it most likely would not last long You would probably be better off and money ahead ( with the cost of nickel rod) to buy another bracket.

watch ebay brackets turn up on there often. SC and Dc use the same ones.
