I got the plow last week. I have had a Early VAC in the weeds with all these lift parts. Do the parts taken off the tractor , mate to the this plow?
I believe this is called a Stockton Hitch?
Seldom seen by me. The arms on the frt of this plow were turned , and are not in the correct position.

Don, I have the same setup for my plow. Your plow is a VCMB Model 2 bottom, and all the hardware you have goes with it as the lifting mechanism. The cylinder works off of the High Pressure pump run by the Belt Pulley assembly. I and Nick Wink have the Stockton Eagle Hitch on our tractors. I can't post a picture, but it is on the same principle as the Case Eagle hitch, but uses the High Pressure pump instead of the Low Pressure gear pump located where Magneto goes. Maybe Nick could post a pic of his setup for you.

Hey Don, go on the Internet and type in CASE Stockton Eagle Hitch, and you'll see a picture of the hitch. Mine on my tractor looks just like the first picture. The third link lifting bracket goes around the PTO body. Hope this helps.

I have a plow just like the one in the pic. I tried for days to get it to plow behind my 400, with no luck. I can't hardly force the plow into the ground. It needs down pressure to go in, which is probably not the correct strategy. I finally gave up, and it sits in the woods behind the shop. Open for advice and suggestions.

The plow must pivot, not just run parallel to the ground like a standard 3-point. The plow needs to sit with the bottom flat in the furrow when in the plowing position, and with the plow points angled sharply downward when in the lifted position. This allows it to bite into the ground as you lower it, and allows it to work correctly once it is all-of-the-way down.

Don L., What you have is not a Stockton hitch. The Stockton hitch uses standard 3-point implements. What you have is the masterframe parts for the VCMB plow, and the VCMB plow.

(quoted from post at 03:29:20 09/04/14) hey, a VAC draw bar with a roller on it. Is that
your design. looks sharp.

Andy
Thanks,
That's an early 1944 VAC with chicken roost steering. The roller drawbar is original. Nick

(quoted from post at 15:36:05 09/04/14) This one seems very close.......

Don,
That is my tractor and plow. The plow started out just like yours but the previous owner added the optional break away kit available from Case. Nick
