S.C.R.A.P Show !

Made it to our local Labor Day show, and met a couple of really nice fellows. John and Drew Henry, whose family used to have the loacl CASE dealership (Henry Bros.). Had a nice visit with them and a old neighbor of mine. Bitter sweet note was that the DC-4 that was my Dad's was back up for sale, and I wasn't able to be there to buy it. John checked serial number, and it came from their store. Gave John history of tractor best I could remember, hope they were able to buy it.

I hope they were able to buy it also AND that You have the option to buy it back at a later date I am a firm believer that all tractors and for that matter all other family heirlooms have a destiny all their own and though they may travel a while it always warms my heart to hear that a family member went out of the way and in my CASE out of budget to bring an heirloom back home where it belongs for the future generations.

It was good to meet you too Mike. We didn't buy the DC though, too bad you could not have been there it was a nice tractor.

Mike, Sorry we could not meet up at SCRAP. Iwas there on an off. There was a few CASE,S there but not as many as I would like to see. I am hoping to get started on the 400 western this winter. Jerry from Oak Harbor

Hi Mike, your family's old DC sold for $725, and the repainted DC next to it (with radiator shutters even) sold for $875. Both looked like nice tractors, and hopefully they went to good homes. Our 1950 DC was on display there. I was hoping to bring home the Case E-2 elevator from the sale there that my grandfather sold new in 1953, but it didn't happen. It was a nice show as always.

Sorry I missed meeting you, send me your address, and some evening after I'm done at Brush, maybe I can stop over and check serial number of your Round Nose 400 to see if it's the one my Dad had. Good luck with the other 400.

Mike

Thanks for the report Kyle, wish I could have met you too. I'll shot you an E-mail about the serial number of my VAC, I think your Dad told me it came from the Gibsonburg store. Am trying to find out whom the original owner was, and more history on it.

Mike

Same here Drew, you looked younger in person. LOL Was hoping to find out if Dad bought it new from the Gibsonburg store, but don't remember what your Dad told me. Will keep in touch.

Mike
