I have been working on this tractor I purchased at auction last spring, it has had issues, miss in engine, leaking radiator, and other items, I finally replace all 4 injectors, tractor sat about a month, went to start, just get a click when pressing button, finally used a screwdriver to short out large upper terminal to small terminal, spins over and starts, figured must need a new solenoid, I installed one today, from reputable auto parts store, no change, still just clicks when pressing starter button, use screwdriver to "weld", spins over and starts, perhaps I do not have wires connected properly?, I hooked them up as they were with old solenoid... looking for suggestions..

Are you sure you are getting power from the switch to the starter? If it worked before you changed injectors, perhaps you broke a wire some place?
On a side note, I spent a whole day trying to get my 530 to start, after putting the backhoe, and loader on it. After a whole day of messing with it, remembered that the starter is activated with the gear shifter. :(

Could be a wire but, I had the same problem on my 1570, put a new one on same problem as you, after about and hour of messing around with it I took the one off my 930 and she started right up.

It shouldn't have a starter "button". If it does, that means someone messed with the wiring. If it is an 8 speed, the neutral safety switch on the High-Low can be hard to find.

this is a power shift transmission, I would think I would not hear a clicking sound by the starter if it was a neutral safety switch issue, more suggestions??

RG Martin, your comment about should be no starter button, you are correct, I should have left the either button alone and turned the key past on, to the start position.... sometimes I like the simple fixes.. I need more seat time with this tractor, my first Case.... :)
