Case O Matic Comfort King Questions

On the 830 commfort king should the tractor move when shifted into gear before throttling up?
Also, after a little work the gear shifter seems stuck in gear, is this a commmon issue? Any suggestions on how to free it?
As I am new to this tractor and Grandpa is no longer around, could someone give mme a copy of the page of the manual showing what each of the control levers & knobs are for?
Where will the filter & drain be for the case o matic. I am quite sure this has not been changed in the 40 plus years Grandpa had this tractor.
Any advice or help y'all can provide on this tractor will be appreciated. I hope to see this back working this farm again soon.

My 830 won't move until its throttled up, and it
too tries to hang up in gear a whole lot worse then
my 800 COM. Best I can tell you is pull it straight
out of gear, not sideways or you will hang it
between gears and have to take the shifter out. Had
to do that 3 times before I learned to take my time
and do it correctly.
The COM filter is on the right side, as you are
sitting on it. I think there are 3 bolts in the
cover. Plug, I don't know.

An owners manual would be a great thing for you (look on E-
Bay)and if you have any more questions a service manual would be
very helpful.Even the I&T service manual will answer your questions
on case-o-matic issues. Make sure and use GOOD quality oil in
COM.

You said to take the shifter out to free
It up. Now what is the trick to get it back in? Also, do I need to do anything to free up the gears first or should remmoving & re installing it fix it.
I really need to get this running again as the 444 international won't handle the disk.
Lastly, when I get this running again the case o matic oil should be checked with the tractor running at Idle right?
Thank you for the aSsistance. I know I need to buy some manuals, but when that is the answer to all my questions it isn't very helpful. I truly appreciate the advice & assistance.
