Case HAP stamp question

I just picked up my Case DC4 and noticed that it has steel stamped into flat on drivers right side at front of block HAP. As best I can tell its an early block (1939?). Wondering what if anything the HAP stamping means.

Best, Ed

My 1940 DC has "HCP" for high compression pistons. It has 3 7/8" flat top pistons with a C head

5505A is a high compression /LP head I think? some where I have paper work on heads/piston sets for the "D" series, sure seem to remember both "HC" (high compression) and "HA" high altitude) kits,,, but I do have a lot of CASE info in my head, the "D" series I know enough to get me in trouble some times

5576A is the medium comp head, the A5505 is the high comp. head and 6128A is the LP head. the original 39 head was probably the old straight in the side plug head, probably an A4570A which would have been a all fuel head.

Thanks mEl!! I am going to quit commenting on the "D" series I seem to always screw that up!! lol thanks again for the correct info!! I should have went and looked as I have a factory LP "DC" here
