Case 300 Roundnose

Going to look at a 1957 (I believe) Case 300 roundnose gas tomorrow. Looks to have all the sheet metal and is very nice condition. I was looking through the archives to see if many have sold and don't see any.

Was there not many of the roundnoses made? Just curious as to what a nice one would bring. This one is very straight, good tires, overhauled not long ago with new clutch and seals in hyd pump. Eagle hitch and wide front. Any thoughts? Thanks - Bob

I padi $1,600 for mine, Tires weren"t very good and it had a made engine rod bearing and broken grill frame. Smaller tractors in the east where I am bring more money than the ones out in midwest.

Good shape with good tires 300 round nose run 2000 - 3000 in my area. Model 310 (utility) tractors run a little higher than the 311 (general purpose) tractors but often have wear problems in the front axles. Check it close up there if 310, look for welds, spindles slop, bent tie rods, etc.

The roundnoses are not rare by Case standards. There were 6,959 row crops (311s) and 3,175 standards (310s) during 1956-1957.

It would take a really nice one to get over $3000 around here. $1500 to $2500 would get most of them in running condition with good rubber.

It sounds like you might have found a nice one, but remember they are all projects to some degree.

Paid $2200.00 a few weeks ago for one with a loader. Paid about the same for the other one. Good little tractors!

I paid $800 for this one a couple years ago. The Kubota dealer spent 3 hours on it and couldn't make it run. The guy sold it to me and I had it running in 45 minutes. It has been a great little tractor although I do not farm, I just play.

I did get one hood side and the drawbar for it as well.

Nice 300, it has been cared for in it life and also been useful. In the car world it would be called a survivor.
